Falcons release depth chart with a change at running back

The Falcons (2-7) have released their depth chart ahead of the upcoming matchup Sunday vs. the Carolina Panthers (5-4) in Charlotte.

Brian Hill has moved ahead of Kenjon Barner as the Falcons' No. 2 at running back. Ito Smith previously held this position but was recently placed on injured reserve.

Devonta Freeman is dealing with a foot injury and his status for Sunday is unknown at this point. If Freeman can't go, Hill will carry the load for the Falcons.

Last week, the Falcons made two significant changes to the depth chart on special teams with the additions of kicker Younghoe Koo and punter Ryan Allen. Koo was perfect 4 for 4 in his debut with the Falcons in the 26-9 win over the Saints.

Listed below is a position-by-position breakdown of Atlanta's starting lineup with only the primary backups listed in parentheses.
