Biography

CAREER

  • Spent four seasons with the Bills (2011-14) then played four seasons with the Raiders (2015-18). He returned to Buffalo in 2019 where he spent the last two seasons. The 11-year vet has played in 133 games, totaling 64 receptions for 458 yards and 10 receiving touchdowns.

COLLEGE

  • As a full-time starter in 2010, Smith finished the year with career highs in receiving yards, receptions, and touchdowns. He also was named to the Conference USA All-Academic team and invited to the Senior Bowl.
  • A preseason All-Conference USA selection at tight end as a redshirt junior in 2009, he was nominated for the Allstate Good Works Team.¬†

PERSONAL

  • His father, Daryle, played on the offensive line at the University of Tennessee and spent six years in the National Football League playing with the Cowboys, Browns, and Eagles before spending four years in the CFL.
  • He and his wife, Alisha, have four children.
  • Earned degrees in psychology and criminal justice while at Marshall. He excelled at both football and basketball during his time at Powell High School.
