• Selected to the Clarion-Ledger's Dandy Dozen in 2014 and was MaxPreps 2014 Mississippi Mr. Football.
• Was named to 247Sports All-State All-Prospect First-Team Defense.
• Recorded 60 tackles, 13 passes defensed, five interceptions, 4.5 tackles for loss and one forced fumble in his senior season. Also had 28 receptions for 581 yards and six touchdowns on offense.
• Named to the Mississippi Association of Coaches Class 2A All-State Team, the American Family Insurance All-USA Mississippi Football team and the MaxPreps Small School All-American Football Team.
• Selected to both the U.S. Army All-American Bowl and Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic.
• MaxPreps Player of the Year in basketball in his junior year after averaging 18.2 points and eight rebounds per game.
