Biography

CAREER

  • Has played in 127 games with 45 starts over eight NFL seasons, totaling 248 tackles (191 solo) with two tackles for loss, 19 interceptions and 33 passes defensed.
  • Leads all NFL safeties in fourth-quarter interceptions (eight) since 2015. 
  • Originally selected by the Patriots in the third round (91st overall) of the 2013 Draft. Spent seven seasons in New England before being traded to the Detroit Lions in 2020. 

COLLEGE

  • Played for Rutgers Scarlet Knights from 2009-12. 
  • In 2012, named first-team All-Big East Conference selection at safety and participated in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl. 
  • Majored in labor studies.

PERSONAL

  • Prepped at Caesar Rodney High School, where he was the 2008 Gatorade State Player of the Year in Delaware.
  • He and his wife, Christine, have four sons: Chris, Dallas, Captain and Cole.
