Avery Williams

FALCONS (2022)

• Played in all 17 games (three starts), finishing with 170 yards from scrimmage (109 rushing; 61 receiving) in his first season on offense. 
• Led the NFL with 16.2 yards per punt return in 2022 (min. 15 att.).
• Scored first-career touchdown in Week 5 vs. Tampa Bay.
• Recorded a career-high 64 punt return yards on two returns (32.0 avg.), including a career-long 56-yard punt return in Week 7 vs. Cincinnati. 

CAREER

• Played in 15 games (one start) totaling 15 total tackles (eight solo), three quarterback hits, one pass defensed, seven total special teams tackles (three solo), one special teams forced fumble and two special teams fumble recoveries. He also has returned 20 punts for 153 yards (7.7 avg.) and 23 kickoffs for 490 yards (21.3 avg.) as a rookie in 2021.

COLLEGE

• A four-year cornerback and return specialist who played 48 games at Boise State. Posted 152 career tackles, 26 passes defensed, four interceptions, and five fumble recoveries.
• On special teams, Williams totaled 38 kick returns for 1,042 yards, including three touchdowns while adding 82 punt returns for 948 yards, including six touchdowns. 
• A former walk-on at Boise State, Williams was named the Mountain West Special Teams Player of the Year each of the past two seasons (2019-20). 

PERSONAL

• Named Trinity League Co-MVP in 2015, his sole season for JSerra...ran for 1,175 yards and 14 touchdowns as a senior at JSerra...at St. Francis, helped lead team to Angelus League title and division playoffs with nine combined touchdowns (rushing/receiving/defense), three interceptions and four sacks...named All-Area as a junior and was a two-year starter at St. Francis before transferring to JSerra.
