With the 49ers headed to the Super Bowl, Hooper has been invited to attend the event for the second time in as many years. Hooper looked to be on track for an outright invitation to the exclusive event until a knee injury forced him to miss three games during the second half of the season. Despite missing time, Hooper caught 75 passes for 787 yards and six touchdowns. He finished the year tied for the fourth-most touchdowns among tight ends; Hooper also had the fifth-most receptions and the sixth-most receiving yards.

Hooper caught a 20-yard touchdown pass in the 2019 NFL Pro Bowl and has emerged as one of the league's most consistent young tight ends. Hooper will be a free agent this offseason, but he has expressed a desire to return to Atlanta if the two sides reach a deal.

With Hooper heading down to Orlando, he will join defensive tackle Grady Jarrett and wide receiver Julio Jones as the Falcons' three Pro Bowlers.
