FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — After Sunday evening's roster cutdowns across the NFL, the Atlanta Falcons claimed three players off the league's waiver wire.
Atlanta has added linebackers Yasir Abdullah and Jared Ivey as well as offensive tackle Cameron Williams to its 53-man roster. To make room for the three incoming players, the Falcons waived defensive backs Jammie Robinson and Natrone Brooks and defensive lineman Zach Harrison.

Identifying players on other teams' training camp rosters who could enhance a position group or area of play is a key part of the cutdown process for NFL front offices. In Abdullah, the Falcons are getting a player with a strong special teams background, whereas Ivey and Williams are each entering their second NFL seasons and have developmental upside for Atlanta on each side of the ball.
The Jacksonville Jaguars selected Abdullah in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft. He appeared in 29 games for the Jaguars during his three seasons with the team, including 10 games last year. The 6-foot-1, 240-pound linebacker saw his most action in 2024, when he played 14 games with three starts. Abdullah has 436 special teams snaps over the past two seasons. Abdullah played college football for five seasons at the University of Louisville. In 61 games, he collected 210 tackles, 43 tackles for a loss and 23.5 sacks.
Ivey signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Ole Miss after the 2025 NFL Draft. He appeared in two games for Seattle as a rookie last year, playing 15 defensive snaps and 10 special teams snaps. During his three seasons at Ole Miss, Ivey developed as a backfield playmaker, finishing with 26.5 tackles for a loss and 16 sacks for the Rebels. Before transferring to Ole Miss, Ivey spent his first two college seasons at Georgia Tech and attended North Gwinnett High School.
The Philadelphia Eagles selected Williams in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-5, 317-pound tackle went on injured reserve with a shoulder injury in Week 2 of his rookie season and missed 15 games. He made his debut in the Eagles' final game of the regular season and played 51 snaps on offense and three special teams snaps. Williams played college football at the University of Texas.
Atlanta added Robinson to its roster midway through the 2025 season, and he appeared in six games for the Falcons last year as a special teams contributor. Brooks joined the Falcons' practice squad in 2023, and he appeared in 26 games during the 2024-25 seasons as a reserve defender and special teams player. Harrison was selected by the Falcons in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft. A versatile defensive lineman, Harrison played many different roles for Atlanta during his three seasons with the team. He appeared in 40 games with eight starts and recorded 81 tackles, 12 tackles for a loss and 8.5 sacks.
