Falcons at Steelers: Defensive tackles Derrick Shelby, Grady Jarrett ruled out 

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. – Falcons head coach Dan Quinn has ruled out three players for Sunday's game: Derrick Shelby, Grady Jarrett and Justin Bethel.

Although Shelby was able to practice some this week, he's still not ready to go. This will be the third consecutive game Shelby will miss with a groin injury.

Jack Crawford will start in place for Jarrett at defensive tackle, the position he's most comfortable at.

"There's no new learning for Jack," Quinn said. "I love the way he can penetrate and gets up field."

As far as how the week of preparation for the entire group, Quinn was pleased as his team heads to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers (1-2-1) on Sunday.

"All phases had something I challenged them with," Quinn said. "I loved the attitude and the work of the guys. As the week went on, I saw the speed and all the things I like to see."
