FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons used their Week 13 standard practice squad elevation on wide receiver Deven Thompkins.
Thompkins will be active for the Falcons' road game against the New York Jets on Sunday at MetLife Stadium. This is his second elevation. He played in the Falcons' Week 6 home win against the Buffalo Bills, specifically three snaps on special teams.
Thompkins has appeared in 30 career games and recorded 26 receptions for 135 yards and a touchdown. He played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2022-23 and the Carolina Panthers in 2024.
The Falcons also announced Saturday they signed edge rusher Khalid Kareem to the practice squad. Kareem had been on the active roster but was released Thursday.
Reminder: Every team can elevate two players from the practice squad to the active roster for each game day. A player is allowed three elevations per season. A fourth elevation would require the player to be signed to the 53-man roster.
