Dan Quinn anticipates Matt Ryan being ready to go for Saints game

Matt Ryan was unable to play in Atlanta's recent 27-20 loss to the Seattle Seahawks (6-2) after suffering an ankle sprain against the Los Angeles Rams on Oct. 20.

Ryan didn't practice for two days last week but tested his ankle on Friday and was eventually ruled out on Saturday.

With the bye week on deck, Falcons coach Dan Quinn said that he expects Ryan to be able to play when the Falcons begin preparation for their first division game against the New Orleans Saints (7-1) on Nov. 10. A 1 p.m. ET at Mercedes-Benz Superdome is scheduled.

"He pushed it as hard as humanly possible to get himself in a space to get ready to play on Sunday, but I would anticipate him being ready for when we come back and play New Orleans," Quinn said on Monday.

Prior to Sunday's game, Ryan hadn't missed a game since December of 2009. His 154 consecutive starts is the second-longest active streak among quarterbacks.
