Falcons make flurry of moves before Week 2 'Sunday Night Football' game

Atlanta plays in Minnesota on Sunday at 8:20 p.m. ET.

ATLANTA — The Atlanta Falcons made a series of transactions Saturday before hitting the road for their Week 2 game against the Minnesota Vikings.

The Falcons placed safety Jordan Fuller on injured reserve, signed wide receiver David Sills V to the 53-man roster and elevated kicker Parker Romo from the practice squad to the active roster.

Fuller did not participate in practice all week due to a knee injury. He was officially ruled out of Week 2's game Friday when the team's game report was released. He played just one defensive and 16 special teams snaps in last Sunday's season-opening loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Fuller was an offseason signing with five years of experience on his resume. He started 55 of his 57 career appearances — primarily with the Los Angeles Rams (2020-23), but also with the Carolina Panthers (2024) — before joining the Falcons. His highlights include seven interceptions, with three apiece in 2020 and 2023.

Sills, meanwhile, originally made the Falcons' 53-man roster after training camp but was released in Week 1 and signed to the practice squad. He was elevated last Sunday, though, and took two snaps on offense. He did not record any stats.

Before coming to Atlanta, Sills had appeared in 16 career games since 2021, either for the Denver Broncos (2023) or the New York Giants (2021-22). His most productive season was in 2022, when he totaled 11 receptions for 106 yards in nine games.

As for Romo, he signed with the Falcons on Tuesday after head coach Raheem Morris made it clear the team was going to bring in competition for Younghoe Koo after the veteran missed a game-tying, 44-yard field goal in Atlanta's season-opening loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Koo is not traveling with the team to Minnesota, it was also announced Saturday.

Romo played in four games for the Vikings last season, making 11 of his 12 field goal attempts. His sole miss was a 43-yarder in the Vikings' 23-22 win against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 13.

The Falcons-Vikings game is scheduled to kick off Sunday at 8:20 p.m. ET inside U.S. Bank Stadium. NBC will carry live coverage.

Reminder: Every team can elevate two players from the practice squad to the active roster for each game day. A player is allowed three elevations per season. A fourth elevation would require the player to be signed to the 53-man roster.

Below is a full list of the Falcons' practice squad elevations so far.
