FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — For the second week in a row, the Atlanta Falcons will be playing in another team's home opener.
The Falcons (1-1) did so in Week 2, beating the Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium, and now Atlanta travels to the Carolina Panthers (0-2) for a Week 3 chance to do the same at Bank of America Stadium.
While the Falcons have already faced one NFC South opponent — the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 1 — the Panthers have not. This will be Carolina's first divisional game.
Last season, the Falcons and Panthers split their two-game series. Atlanta won in Carolina in Week 6 but lost in Week 18 in overtime at home.
