Julio Jones heads into his eighth season playing at '100 percent' with no 'mental blocks'

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. – Going into his eighth season, Falcons star receiver Julio Jones feels as good as he's ever felt.

When asked how he's feeling at training camp this year, his answer was quick and concise: "100 percent."

This allows Jones to not only be able to do everything physically, he has no limitations mentally.

"[There's] no weakness as far as in my head, mental blocks and things like that," Jones said following practice on Thursday. "I can do any and everything. There's nothing holding me back."

Last year at this point, Jones was coming off foot surgery and was limited in what he was able to do. Fast-forward to this year and it's a different story. Jones was able to train all offseason and it's paying off.

"I can do everything," Jones said. "I feel like I can do anything and everything right now, I'm truly one hundred percent right now."

Not only is being able to get full speed reps beneficial for Jones, it helps the entire offense. He and quarterback Matt Ryan can continue to get reps together, offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian can move him around and get a clear look at the different ways they want to feature him.

Falcons head coach Dan Quinn said they have added some new wrinkles to the offense this year and how they feature Jones is certainly a part of that.

It's a win-win for all.

And according to Quinn, Jones is "off to an excellent training camp start."
