FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. – The Falcons announced Monday that they've signed former Oakland Raiders kicker Giorgio Tavecchio.

Tavecchio, 28, was released by the Raiders earlier this offseason after appearing in 16 games for Oakland in 2017. In his lone NFL season, Tavecchio made 16 of his 21 field goal attempts, including three from 50-plus yards, and 33 of his 34 extra point attempts.

Tavecchio, who was born in Milan, Italy, has also spent time with the 49ers (2012), Packers (2013) and Lions (2013–2014) either as a practice squad player or during the offseasons over the last six seasons.

Atlanta now has three kickers on the roster, including Matt Bryant, who is the Falcons' all-time leading scorer and converted 34 of his 39 field goal attempts last season and all 35 of his extra point attempts.
