Falcons injury report: Jalon Walker among 4 starters who miss practice

Meanwhile, safety Jordan Fuller's 21-day window to return from injured return opens.

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons were without four starters between their offense and defense in Thursday's practice. As a reminder, the team did not practice on Wednesday, therefore, that day's injury report was an estimate.

There were a few carryovers in status, though, once the Falcons did take the field Thursday. That included the likes of Jalon Walker (groin), Billy Bowman Jr. (hamstring), Jake Matthews (ankle) and Ray-Ray McCloud (not injury related) all listed as non-participants.

The addition from Wednesday to Thursday was McCloud, who was a healthy scratch in Monday night's win against the Buffalo Bills. After the game, head coach Raheem Morris said it was a coaching decision to keep McCloud from suiting up. The reason listed on Thursday's report was "not injury related — other." According to the league, this specific designation refers to situations where a player is limited in or held out of practice for a reason that is not a specific physical injury.

Meanwhile, the Falcons did get a little good news off their injured reserve list. Safety Jordan Fuller returned to practice Thursday. He has been on IR with a knee injury. He joins Ta'Quon Graham within a 21-day window in which the Falcons can elevate the formerly injured players to the active roster. Graham is in the second week of his window, while Fullers officially opens now that he's returned to practice.

The Falcons' full Thursday report can be viewed below, while the 49ers' (lengthy) side of the weekly reports can be viewed here.
