FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- The Falcons (0-1) will be without starting running back Devonta Freeman as they look to get the offense back on track against the Panthers (1-0) in their home opener on Sunday.
Falcons coach Dan Quinn said after Friday's practice that Freeman, Ben Garland and Russell Gage are the three players who have been ruled out for Sunday's game due to injury. Freeman and Gage are dealing with knee injuries that have kept them out of practice all week, while Garland has been held out due to a calf injury.
The Falcons begin a three-game home stretch on Sunday against the Panthers, kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET.
