ATLANTA â With Sundayâs loss to the Seattle Seahawks inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the Atlanta Falcons were officially eliminated from the 2025 NFL Playoffs.
The Falcons are now 4-9.
This marked the eighth consecutive season in which the Falcons did not make the postseason. Their last appearance was in 2017; they defeated the Los Angeles Rams in the wild-card round and lost to the Philadelphia Eagles in the divisional round.
The best possible record the Falcons can now attain in 2025 is 8-9.
"Our fan base deserves a winner," Falcons head caoch Raheem Morris said after the game. "The only thing we can do is try to find a way to go win in this Thursday football game. You can't make any promise that you can't keep at this moment. The only thing you can do is try to give them the best efforts you can give them, potentially on Thursday night."
The Falcons' remaining schedule features the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday night, the Arizona Cardinals on Dec. 21, the Los Angeles Rams on Dec. 29 and the New Orleans Saints on either Jan. 3 or 4. The next two are on the road, but the final two are at home.
