Dan Quinn definitely not ruling out possibility of Grady Jarrett playing vs. the Bucs

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. – Falcons coach Dan Quinn left the door open to defensive tackle Grady Jarrett returning to the lineup Sunday vs. the Buccaneers despite the fact he won't participate in team drills at practice on Wednesday.

"He's definitely improving," Quinn said during his weekly appearance on 92.9 The Game's morning show. "He's going to work some on the side but no team reps. As we get into the later part of the week, I'll have a better assessment. We're definitely not ruling him out based on the work that he's putting in."

Some continuity on defense

Quinn also acknowledged this is the first week the starting defensive lineup will be the same. No injuries occurred in the Steelers game on the defensive side of the ball and this will be the first time the group will have the same players on the field for two consecutive weeks.

That's big in terms of continuity and what it could do for the defense.
"On a good news front, from a defensive side, the same group is coming back, the first time this year," Quinn said. "No workouts on a Tuesday afternoon to add to the group, that part I thought is encouraging."

The first injury report of the week will be released Wednesday afternoon.
