FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — After a torrid start to the 2025 season, Falcons running back Bijan Robinson was selected as NFC Offensive Player of the Month, the NFL announced Thursday. It is the first time in his career he has earned this recognition.
Robinson leads all players with 584 scrimmage yards through the first four weeks and has scored two touchdowns. He has topped 100 receiving yards in two games so far and surpassed 100 rushing yards in a third. Robinson remains arguably the most elusive player in the league and has already forced 24 missed tackles.
"He's definitely the best player in football in my head," Falcons head coach Raheem Morris said. "I don't care, he's unbelievable. I love the kid. I love everything about him. I love watching him with the ball. I love his confidence. I love his demeanor. I love his mindset. I love the leadership. I love everything about him."
In the Falcons' 34-27 win against the Washington Commanders in Week 4, Robinson led all players with 181 yards and served as the workhorse for Atlanta's offense. He had a 69-yard catch in the third quarter and accounted for 67 of those yards once the ball was in his hands. It was his second short-yardage reception this season that went for at least 50 yards — he caught a 50-yard touchdown pass in Week 1 on a similar play.
The true standout moment for Robinson, however, came on his 14-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. Showcasing his trademark elusiveness and preternatural feel for space, Robinson danced through a sea of burgundy and black before spinning into the end zone.
Since he entered the league in 2023, Robinson is the only running back with 100 receiving yards in multiple games — he has done so three times. He is second only to Christian McCaffrey in receiving yards by a running back this year. In addition to developing his skills as a receiver, Robinson worked hard this offseason to increase the number of explosive plays he can produce.
Those efforts have been fruitful thus far. Robinson leads all running backs with five plays of 20 yards or more this season, and he's the only player at his position with multiple 50-plus-yard gains.
Through four games, the Falcons' star is on pace for 2,482 yards from scrimmage, which would be the second-most in a single season in NFL history. After his breakout campaign in 2024, Robinson is quickly gaining recognition as one of the best players in the NFL, regardless of position, and has picked up right where he left off.
