FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons have signed free agent wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus.
Zaccheaus originally joined the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Virginia in 2019, appearing in 10 games that season. Against the Carolina Panthers in Week 14, Zaccheaus caught his first NFL touchdown. It was a 93-yard score that also served as the longest touchdown pass of Matt Ryan's career.
"Olamide's done a great job for us since he's been here," Ryan said during the 2021 season. "He's a reliable guy. Very smart. Does a lot of the dirty work for us in the run game, but also has vertical speed to be able to stretch it. I mean, he's done that, he's had those kinds of catches for a long time since he's been here."
He spent four seasons in Atlanta, appearing in 55 games with 23 starts. He caught 94 passes for 1,328 yards with eight touchdowns in that time while averaging 14.1 yards per reception. Zaccheaus has played for the Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Commanders and Chicago Bears since leaving the Falcons as a free agent in 2023.
As a member of the Bears in 2025, Zaccheaus caught 39 passes for 313 yards and two touchdowns. He also carried the ball four times for 25 yards. Zaccheaus joins a Falcons receiver corps that includes Drake London and newly signed Jahan Dotson.
