Atlanta Falcons sign QB Trevor Siemian

With more than 30 starts under his belt and 11 years in the NFL, Siemian brings valuable experience to the Falcons’ quarterbacks room.

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons have signed free agent quarterback Trevor Siemian.

This is the second addition the Falcons have made at quarterback this offseason as they continue to build out a room that also includes Michael Penix Jr. and Tua Tagovailoa.

The Denver Broncos selected Siemian in the seventh round of the 2015 NFL Draft, and he has played for seven different organizations during his time in the league. Most notably, Siemian started 24 games for the Broncos across the 2016 and 2017 seasons. He was 13-11 as a starter for Denver and completed 59.3% of his passes for 5,686 yards with 30 touchdowns and 24 interceptions.

His most recent turn as a starter came in 2023 for the New York Jets. Siemian went 2-1 in his three starts for the Jets.

During the 2018 offseason, Siemian was traded to the Minnesota Vikings, where he spent a season working directly with Kevin Stefanski, who was the team's quarterbacks coach.

With more than 30 starts under his belt and 11 years in the NFL, Siemian brings valuable experience to the Falcons' quarterbacks room. General manager Ian Cunningham told the media earlier in March that "everybody's coming in to compete," and Siemian should increase the level of competition throughout the summer.
