Atlanta Falcons sign LB Channing Tindall

The organization locks up the former Georgia linebacker on a reported one-year deal.

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons have officially signed linebacker Channing Tindall. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Tindall's contract with the Falcons is a one-year deal.

Tindall was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He spent three seasons in Miami, where he saw action in 44 games. Majority of that action was spent as a core special teams contributor.

When Tindall was drafted by the Dolphins in 2022, then-general manager Chris Grier said Miami really valued his versatility and speed, specifically when thinking about the upside scouts felt the former University of Georgia linebacker had on special teams.

"In talking to (Georgia head coach coach) Kirby Smart the other day again about him," Grier said at the time, "he was just talking about what tremendous speed and toughness and the character of the kid and how Kirby really loved (Tindall) and thinks he's going to be a really good player in the NFL."

In 2025, Tindall played a similar role with the Arizona Cardinals after he originally signed to the Cardinals' practice squad.

In the last three seasons, Tindall has played more than 50% of the snaps on special teams.
