FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- The Atlanta Falcons announced Tuesday morning that they have signed former Arizona Cardinals offensive lineman John Wetzel.
Wetzel, 27, spent the past three seasons with the Arizona Cardinals. During that time, Wetzel played in 40 games and made 24 starts. Wetzel was placed on injured reserve in early November of 2018 due to a neck injury, cutting his final season in Arizona short.
A versatile lineman, Wetzel played both guard and tackle for the Cardinals. At 6-foot-7 and 328 pounds, Wetzel brings a lot of size to a position group that has gotten a bit bigger this offseason.
