Bijan Robinson heading into Year 4: 'I really feel like this is the best I have felt'

Robinson reflects on a breakout year while setting a higher bar for 2026.

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — Bijan Robinson lives life at full speed. Just as he does on the football field, he's constantly on the move off of it, too. Whether it's award shows, marketing trips or packed daily schedules.

Still, Robinson found time this offseason to slow down and reflect on 2025, a year in which he set franchise records and etched his name into the NFL history books.

What he took from that reflection, however, might not be what many would expect from a player of his caliber.

"People always say to me: 'Bro, you're like 12th-highest all-purpose player in NFL history,'" Robinson said. "But I am like, 'Cool, but it wasn't good enough because we didn't accomplish what we wanted to accomplish.'"

For Robinson, that meant the work couldn't stop. His goals, and the standard he holds himself to, haven't changed.

"Like I say every year, I am just trying to be better than the last year, in all aspects of my game," Robinson said. "My leadership, my faith, everything, who I am as a person. I am just trying to be a lot better than I was the year before, even when it comes to my goals on the field, off the field."

He understands what that mindset means, especially considering what he accomplished last season. Only a handful of players in league history have matched his combination of workload and production. For Robinson, though, that context doesn't carry much weight. He's already focused on what's next.

"Last year was a cool year," Robinson admitted, "but this year I want to be even better in all aspects."

It's a bold statement for someone who led the league in all-purpose yards and was a finalist for Offensive Player of the Year. Still, that mindset is what got him here, and there's no reason to fix something that isn't broken.

As he continues to evolve, Robinson is also holding on to what's worked. From a physical standpoint, that includes the routine he built last offseason.

Robinson began training with San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey, learning from a player with a similar skill set and more experience in the league. With a comparable workload expected in a new system in Atlanta, Robinson said McCaffrey's regimen—particularly his approach to both training and recovery—has made a significant impact.

"That's a cool deal, man," Robinson said of his offseason work in California with McCaffrey. "We put in work, but we really do take care of our bodies. His regiment has been really good for me, especially last year and what I did throughout the season. It was a blessing that I stayed healthy throughout the whole season, but even when the season was over I felt great to play even more."

That's why Robinson plans to keep building on it as he enters Year 4 of his career.

Life around him may be fast-paced and ever-changing, but one thing remains constant, which is his commitment to improving year over year. Last year, he set the bar. Now, he's reaching for something higher.

And this year? He already feels the difference.

"Me being here for now going on my fourth year and me now being a veteran leader to these guys, it's pretty cool. I am pretty excited, even just with how I feel," Robinson said. "They always say, like, (these are) your prime years, but I really feel like this is the best I have felt my whole time being here."
