Falcons sign UFL's leading rusher

In turn, Atlanta released a player they selected in the 2024 draft.

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons signed running back Jashaun Corbin, the team announced Tuesday.

Corbin led all UFL players in rushing yards during the 2025 season while playing for the San Antonio Brahmas. In 10 games, Corbin totaled 97 carries for 514 yards and four touchdowns, along with 18 receptions for 138 yards. He also finished with the third-most all-purpose yards in the UFL. In addition to his rushing and receiving yards, Corbin gained 252 yards as a kick returner, bringing his total to 904 yards on the season.

The 24-year-old does have prior NFL experience, too. He joined the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2022. As a rookie, he remained on the practice squad. He briefly joined the Carolina Panthers' practice squad in 2023 before returning to the Giants before season's end. He then appeared in six games with New York, making just one carry for 1 yard and catching three receptions for 12 yards. But he was placed on injured reserve before the 2024 season began.

Corbin spent two years apiece at Texas A&M University and Florida State University from 2018-21.

The Falcons are well set up at running back, but Corbin could be a nice addition to the room during training camp and provide depth in the preseason.

In a corresponding move, the Falcons released running back Jase McClellan.

Atlanta drafted McClellan out of the University of Alabama with a sixth-round pick in 2024. He appeared in two games as a rookie, taking 19 offensive snaps and eight special teams snaps. He had five carries for 17 yards in the Falcons' Week 7 loss to the Seattle Seahawks and eight carries for 15 yards in the Falcons' Week 11 loss to the Denver Broncos. He was placed on injured reserve in Week 15 due to a knee injury.
