The Falcons opted to not re-sign Coleman, an unrestricted free agent, and let him hit the market and he cashed in. Coleman's two-year deal with San Francisco is worth a reported $10 million.

Coleman was drafted in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft out of Indiana University. During his four years with the Falcons, Coleman rushed for 2,340 yards on 528 carries and 18 touchdowns. He was also an asset in the passing game catching 92 passes for 1,010 yards and 11 touchdowns.

One of Coleman's most productive seasons came under the guidance of Kyle Shanahan whom he'll be reunited with in San Francisco when he was the offensive coordinator in the 2015-16 seasons. Coleman had 941 all-purpose yards and 11 touchdowns.

Poole lands with Jets

Another former Falcons player, cornerback Brian Poole, landed with a new team on Thursday. Poole, who joined Atlanta as an undrafted free agent in 2016, signed a one-year deal worth a reported $3.5 million with the New York Jets.
