Who's In, Who's Out: Falcons vs. Chargers

The Falcons are back home and back to work in Flowery Branch this week as they prepare to face the San Diego Chargers on Sunday in the Georgia Dome.

Wide receiver Taylor Gabriel and cornerback C.J. Goodwin have been ruled out for Sunday's matchup at the Georgia Dome.

With Goodwin out, head coach Dan Quinn said Jalen Collins, who has yet to play in a game for the Falcons this season, will fill Goodwin's important role on special teams.

"We are hoping [Jalen] Collins [steps up], he certainly has the speed to do it," Quinn said in response to who will fill in for Goodwin. "He'll play outside at gunner. Robenson Therezie is [also] someone we count on [for] that. It's an important position. They have good returners, that's the truth."

Despite being limited in practice on Thursday, Keanu Neal and Mohamed Sanu will play as they were both full participants on Friday.

The Falcons will also get another linebacker back, in Paul Worrilow, who was a full participant in practice on Friday. Although they returned to action last week, De'Vondre Campbell and Deion Jones' snaps are expected to increase after a solid week of practice.

"I mentioned to Jeff [Ulbrich] yesterday, [that] man, I saw the De'Vondre that captured us all through the spring and training camp," Quinn said. "I felt very comfortable with them both this week. I just felt like they were just hitting their stride again."
