White: Jones to be the Best WR in the NFL

If you haven't already watched the video above, do yourself a favor, click and enjoy the beauty of seeing the ridiculously-hard, over-the-shoulder TD reception by Falcons WR Julio Jones in Week 3. It's exactly plays like those that have Jones on all the highlight shows; the 40-yard score was the No. 1 play on SportsCenter's Top 10 NFL Plays of Week 3.

As for how Jones ranks the catch.....

"I don't know, man," Jones said. "That was a good throw by (Falcons QB) Matt (Ryan); I was able to make the play on the ball. I expect to make those plays when they present themselves."

Fellow Falcons WR Roddy White, who said his injured hamstring is "feeling great" and that he's "ready to roll" for Sunday's game, offered his own evaluation of Jones' sensational catch.

"It was a great catch," White said. "It's crazy, because we go out there and practice that situation and it comes up in the game and he goes out there and makes it look really easy. Practice pays off. He's a great player. He's going to be the best wide receiver in this league, if he isn't already, and he's just going to continue to get better."

Jones has logged 23 receptions for a league-leading 365 yards (15.9 avg.) and three TDs in three games this season; knowing his numbers won't be overlooked by the Vikings, Jones emphasized the importance of the Falcons being able to establish the rushing attack, opening up more things for the passing game.

"I always get double-teamed," Jones said. "We kind of find ways to get me the ball. They can't double-team me the whole game, when our running game is going. We've got to make sure we get the running game going early and then open up the passing game later on."
