FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — Rookie linebacker Sean Weatherspoon was held out of Wednesday's practice because of an ankle injury suffered in Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints.

Weatherspoon tweeted after the game that he was fine and just cramping. He also said that the cart used to take him off the field Sunday was merely a formality. After the adrenaline wore off, according to head coach Mike Smith, Weatherspoon started to notice something was more wrong than just cramping.

Smith said Weatherspoon would be evaluated on a daily basis.

Erik Coleman returned to practice Wednesday, albeit in a limited role. Michael Jenkins was also limited during Wednesday's practice session.
