WATCH: The field turf is installed at Mercedes-Benz Stadium as Falcons' first game nears

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- Only three weeks remain until the Atlanta Falcons play their first game in their one-of-a-kind new stadium.

While the team is hard at work for the 2017 AT&T Atlanta Falcons Training Camp, the crew at Mercedes-Benz Stadium is busy laying down the finishing touches. Among the most recent additions was the turf.

If you've ever wondered what goes into a stadium's turf, this video is sure to be enlightening. The process requires precision and attention to detail, but the final result looks incredible. Mercedes-Benz Stadium is officially partnered with the surfacing company FieldTurf, and will feature its Revolution 360 surface.

With a mesmerizing roof, a massive 1,075-feet long, 58-feet tall halo board that is the biggest in American sports and state-of-the-art field turf, Mercedes-Benz Stadium will offer one of the best game day experiences in the NFL.

And who could forget about the giant 73,000-pound Falcons statue that will greet fans outside of the stadium?

The Falcons will play the first of their four preseason games in Miami on Thursday against the Dolphins. Atlanta's preseason home opener, and the first game in Mercedes-Benz Stadium, will take place on Saturday, Aug. 26 against the Arizona Cardinals.
