Ryan Up for Air Player of the Week

Quarterback Matt Ryan is a nominee this week for the NFL's Air Player of the Week honors for games played Dec. 13-17.

Ryan completed 23-of-28 passes for 270 yards and three touchdowns to finish his day with a 142.6 passer rating in the Falcons' 34-0 win against the New York Giants. His passer rating was the second highest of his career.

During the game, Ryan also broke a pair of his own franchise records, topping his club mark for passing yards in a single season after just 14 games with 4,202 for this season. His previous high was 4,177. He also broke his club record for completions in a season, connecting on 369 passes this year, crushing his previous high and Falcons record of 357 in 2010.

Also nominated this week for Air Player of the Week is Saints quarterback Drew Brees and Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.

Fans can vote until 3 p.m. EST Friday to determine the winner, which will be annouced on Friday's NFL Total Access on NFL Network and on NFL.com.
