Receiver Bergeron rejoins Falcons practice squad

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. --The Atlanta Falcons today signed wide receiver Troy Bergeron to the practice squad.

Bergeron, 6-2, 195 pounds, was originally signed by the Falcons as a free agent on May 10, 2009 and was inked to the team's practice squad following training camp. On three occasions this season, he was elevated to the 53-man roster and he saw his first career NFL action against Philadelphia in Week 13. Bergeron competed with the Georgia Force of the AFL for three seasons (2005, 2007-08) and recorded 328 receptions for 4,335 yards and 96 touchdowns. He earned AFL Rookie of the Year honors in 2005 and was an All-Arena team selection in 2007.
