Much Respect

There aren't many players in NFL history who have still been considered to be in their prime after 14 years. Count Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez among that group.

Gonzalez has been a fixture in the Falcons' offense since being acquired in a trade in 2009, and his production has helped the Falcons become one of the top offenses in the NFL behind quarterback Matt Ryan.

Heading into 2011 — Gonzalez's 15th NFL season — the legendary tight end is still considered to be one of the best in the game, and USA Today is the latest to point that out in their list of the top 10 TEs of the upcoming season.

Gonzalez ranks fourth on their list, behind Dallas' Jason Witten, San Diego's Antonio Gates and Indianapolis' Dallas Clark.

Gonzalez figures heavily into the Falcons' offense for 2011, and things certainly could be interesting with rookie Julio Jones on the field, and he'll likely take some attention off the veteran tight end. That could spell even more production for Gonzalez in his 15th NFL season.
