FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. – The NFL announced more key dates of its 2018 offseason and Atlanta's offseason program begins on April 16. The program is voluntary and Falcons players are not required to show up until mandatory minicamp, but the Falcons have had full participation the past three years.

• First day: April 16

• OTA offseason workouts: May 21, May 23-24, May 30-31, June 1, June 4-5, June 7

• Mandatory minicamp: June 12-14

The program includes three phases:

Phase 1 is the first two weeks of the program with activities limited to strength and conditioning and physical rehabilitation only.

Phase 2 is the next three weeks of the program. On-field workouts may include individual player instructions and drills as well as team practice conducted on a "separate" basis. No live contact or team offense vs. team defense drills are permitted.

Phase 3 is the next four weeks of the program. Teams may conduct a total of 10 days of organized team practice activity, or "OTAs." No live contact is permitted, but 7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 drills are permitted.

In between those dates, the Falcons will also have their rookie minicamp two weeks following the NFL Draft which takes place on April 26-28.
