Jones Getting in Work

The always on-top-of-things D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution has an encouraging report coming out of Falcons player workouts Thursday. Ledbetter reported Thursday night that Falcons first-round selection has been a familiar face around player workouts.

Even better news is that Jones' foot has been cleared and he appears to be back to 100 percent. Jones went through the Combine in February with a stress fracture in his foot. Jones said during his introductory news conference with the Falcons after being drafted in April that the foot never bothered him, that is until 32 doctors from 32 teams started pressing on it and asking him if it hurt.

Jones had surgery to fix the issue shortly after the Combine, and just recently he was cleared to start running routes and getting involved in more strenuous activities.

You've got to give it up to Jones. This is exactly what we heard about during the Draft about his work ethic. I think Matt Ryan might have some competition in the first-to-arrive, last-to-leave category.
