Injury Report: Devonta Freeman, Deion Jones among seven players limited for Falcons

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. – As the Falcons began preparations for their upcoming matchup against the Carolina Panthers, seven players were listed as limited on Wednesday: Running back Devonta Freeman (neck/shoulder), wide receiver Taylor Gabriel (tooth), defensive tackle Grady Jarrett (ankle), defensive end Takkarist McKinley (shoulder), cornerback Brian Poole (neck), and defensive lineman Courtney Upshaw (ankle).

Linebacker Duke Riley was the only player unable to not practice with a knee injury.

Falcons coach Dan Quinn had said he anticipated a few players to be limited but didn't expect any of them to be out besides Riley, who recently underwent surgery.

The Panthers had five players not participate in practice on Wednesday, including center Ryan Kalil (neck) and defensive end Julius Peppers (rest). Linebacker Thomas Davis (knee), quarterback Cam Newton (shoulder) and running back Jonathan Stewart (toe) were among those limited for Carolina.

The Falcons (4-3) take on the Panthers (5-3) at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C.
