FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- With just two games remaining and a playoff spot within reach this weekend, the Falcons will head to New Orleans for their second game against the rival Saints.

This weekend's matchup between the longtime rivals is expected to be a hard-fought game in a hostile environment. Atlanta emerged with a win the first time these two teams played nearly two weeks ago, but the Falcons are preparing to receive the Saints' best shot on Christmas Eve.

Injury updates

After missing both Tevin Coleman and Andy Levitre against the Buccaneers, the Falcons should have both starters back in the fold this weekend. Julio Jones has been limited throughout the week as he deals with ankle and thumb injuries, but he's been known to battle through injuries before. Here is the full injury report from Wednesday's practice:

  • RB Tevin Coleman (concussion) – limited
  • OL Andy Levitre (triceps) – limited
  • WR Mohamed Sanu (knee) – limited  
  • WR Julio Jones (ankle/thumb) – did not participate

The Saints have more injuries to worry about heading into the weekend. Linebacker A.J. Klein was placed on injured reserve earlier this week, ending his season, and there are a number of guys whose status remains up in the air. Here is the Saints' injury report from Wednesday:
