The National Football League announced today that Atlanta Falcons CB Brent Grimes has been added to the NFC Pro Bowl roster.

Grimes will replace Green Bay Packers CB Charles Woodson, whose club advanced to Super Bowl XLV, and will join teammates DE John Abraham, T Tyson Clabo, TE Tony Gonzalez, FB Ovie Mughelli, QB Matt Ryan, RB Michael Turner, WR/ST Eric Weems, and WR Roddy White in Hawaii on Sunday. With the addition of Grimes, the Falcons have nine players selected to the NFC All-Star roster, which is a league-high and a franchise record.

In 2010, Grimes was one of the most active players in the Falcons secondary. He was targeted a league-high 119 times by opponents (according to STATS, inc.) Grimes answered the challenge, posting an NFC-best and a franchise record 23 passes defensed to go with his five interceptions.
