Legendary Falcons linebacker Jessie Tuggle has received a lot of honors both during and after his storied career in Atlanta, and he's got one more headed his way. The Hammer will be honored by the Atlanta Sports Hall of Fame during a ceremony June 25 at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center in Roswell, Ga.

A member of the Falcons' exclusive Ring of Honor, Tuggle will be a part of this year's Atlanta HOF class.

Tuggle played 14 seasons with the Falcons and recorded more than 1,600 tackles, 21 sacks and six interceptions, helping guide Atlanta to its only Super Bowl appearance during the 1998 season.

In 1997, Tuggle was inducted into the Valdosta State University Hall of Fame and his No. 88 jersey was retired. VSU also named a building after Tuggle — the Jessie Tuggle Strength and Fitness Complex.
