FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. – Free agent outside linebacker Pernell McPhee is continuing his tour and will visit with the Falcons on Wednesday. McPhee reportedly met with the Washington Redskins on Monday.
The 29-year-old pass rusher spent the past three seasons with Chicago Bears, recording 14 sacks and 75 tackles during his time in the Windy City. McPhee played in 36 games in Chicago.
Prior to his time in Chicago, McPhee played four seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, where he had his best season to date when he had 7.5 sacks, 27 tackles and four passes defensed.
The 6-foot-2 and 275-pound linebacker has dealt with a significant amount of injuries over the past two seasons, limiting his production.
The Falcons are in need of more pass rushers with Adrian Clayborn recently signing with the New England Patriots.
