Five Players Signed to Reserve Future Contracts

The Atlanta Falcons today announced that they have signed wide receiver C.J. Goodwin, running back Gus Johnson, wide receiver Jordan Leslie, offensive lineman Collin Rahrig, and quarterback Matt Simms to reserve future contracts.

Goodwin, 6-3, 190 pounds, was originally signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers as a college free agent following the 2014 NFL Draft out of California University of Pennsylvania. He spent the 2014 season as a member of the Steelers practice squad. He was signed to the Falcons practice squad on November 3, 2015.

Johnson, 5-10, 215 pounds was signed by the Cowboys as a college free agent following the 2015 NFL Draft out of Stephen F. Austin. He spent part of the 2015 season on the Cowboys practice squad. He was signed to the Falcons practice squad on October 27, 2015.

Leslie, 6-3, 209 pounds was originally signed by the Minnesota Vikings as a college free agent following the 2015 NFL Draft out of Brigham Young University. He also spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars this season. He spent the last three weeks of the 2015 season as a member of the Falcons practice squad.

Rahrig, 6-2, 285 pounds, was originally signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers as a college free agent following the 2015 NFL Draft out of Indiana. He played center and guard in 40 games for the Hoosiers during his four years at the university. He spent the last two weeks of the season as a member of the Falcons practice squad.

Simms, 6-3, 210 pounds, was originally signed by the New York Jets as a college free agent following the 2012 NFL Draft out of Tennessee. He spent the 2013 and 2014 seasons with the Jets before being claimed off of waivers by the Buffalo Bills. Simms has appeared in four career games, completing 19 of 39 pass attempts for 195 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He spent the 2015 season as a member of the Falcons practice squad.
