FISHING WITH THE FALCONS TO PAY TRIBUTE TO WOUNDED VETERANS

Atlanta Falcons President Rich McKay, Head Coach Mike Smith and some of his assistant coaches, Falcons cheerleaders and alumni, including former wide receivers Billy "White Shoes" Johnson and Michael Haynes, as well as local media talent, will pay tribute to wounded military veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan during a fishing outing and cookout at Lake Lanier on Wednesday, June 8. In its fourth year, this event affords each veteran an opportunity to be paired with Falcons on individual fishing boats in an attempt to compete for various prizes, such as the most catches, the largest striper fish, the largest spotted bass fish, and the least amount caught. The day will be followed by a special cookout courtesy of Outback Steakhouse with Head Coach Mike Smith.

WHEN: Wednesday, June 8

Boat departure: 1:30 p.m.

Fishing concludes and cookout begins: 5:30 p.m.

WHERE: Van Pugh Park North is located off of Gaines Ferry Road in Flowery Branch, GA

Boats will depart and return from Van Pugh Park North. The Cookout will take place in Van Pugh Park North as well.
