Downtown Atlanta will be packed with numerous activities this weekend, highlighted by the Falcons' preseason game vs. the Miami Dolphins in the Georgia Dome at 7:30 p.m. Friday evening.

In addition to the Falcons' home opener, also taking place in the downtown area will be the Women of Faith event at Philips Arena and the Atlanta Braves home game with the Chicago Cubs. Both events should draw capacity crowds at their respected venues.

The Georgia Dome doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and all Georgia Dome parking lots will open five hours prior to kickoff at 2:30 p.m. Fans without pre-paid parking passes are strongly encouraged to use MARTA (mass transit) due to limited parking spaces.

New for 2011,the Atlanta Falcons have developed an interactive parking and traffic map, depicting the fastest routes in and out of area parking lots. The new interactive feature can be viewed here: vsv.atlantafalcons.com.

Also note that Falcons Landing will not be activated for this game or the Ravens game on September 1st.

The Georgia Dome would also like to remind fans there is a potential danger of being sold counterfeit tickets via the secondary market.

The only authorized outlets for Atlanta Falcons playoff tickets are the Georgia Dome ticket office, Atlanta Falcons ticket office and Ticketmaster's NFL Ticket Exchange program. Buyers who purchase tickets from any other source do so at their own risk.

Any person who purchases a stolen or counterfeit ticket, knowing or unknowing, will be denied admission at the gates and any individual trying to gain entry with a ticket found to be counterfeit could be subject to investigation.
