Falcons Waive Three, Get Down to 75

The Atlanta Falcons today announced that they have waived WR Rashad Evans, WR Marcus Jackson, and WR Marcus Sales.

Evans, 5-9, 187 pounds, was signed by the Falcons as a college free agent on April 29, 2013 out of Fresno State. He caught 138 passes for 1,321 yards and 12 touchdowns in 44 games for the Bulldogs.

Jackson, 6-1, 195 pounds, was signed by the Falcons as a college free agent on April 30, 2012 out of Lamar. He served as a member of the Falcons practice squad during the 2012 season.

Sales, 6-0, 196 pounds, was signed by the Falcons as a College free agent on July 25, 2013 out of Syracuse. His 16 career touchdown receptions tied Scott Schwedes for sixth on the Orange's career record list.

The Falcons roster now sits at 75 players. As part of the NFL's mandatory roster cut down, Atlanta will have to trim its roster to 53 players by August 31 and may establish an eight-player practice squad beginning on September 1.
