The Atlanta Falcons today announced that they have waived quarterback Dominique Davis

Davis, 6-3, 210 pounds, was signed by the Falcons as a college free agent following the 2012 NFL Draft. He served as the team's backup quarterback last season making his NFL debut at Tampa Bay on November 11, 2013.

The Falcons completed a trade with Houston on Wednesday night that sent linebacker Akeem Dent to the Texans and brought quarterback TJ Yates to Atlanta, where he went to high school. The Falcons now have four quarterbacks on the roster heading into camp: Matt Ryan, Sean Renfree, Jeff Mathews and Yates.
