ATLANTA – The Falcons promoted wide receiver Marvin Hall from their practice squad and waived fifth-round pick Brian Hill on Saturday.Â
With wide receiver Mohamed Sanu expected to miss Sunday's home game against the Dolphins (2-2), Hall will provide the Falcons (3-1) more depth at the position.Â
After a strong preseason with the Falcons (eight catches for 151 yards), Hall was signed to Atlanta's practice squad. He was originally signed by the Oakland Raiders as a college free agent following the 2016 NFL Draft out of the University of Washington. He also spent time on the Arizona Cardinals' practice squad.Â
The Falcons drafted Hill, a running back, in the fifth-round of the 2017 NFL Draft out of Wyoming. He rushed for 4,287 yards and scored 35 touchdowns in three seasons for the Cowboys. Hill rushed for 46 yards on 21 carries before suffering an ankle an injury in the preseason. the injury forced him to miss Atlanta's Week 1 game against the Chicago Bears.Â
