Falcons waive CB C.J. Goodwin, sign ex-Buc CB Deji Olatoye

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- The Falcons released cornerback C.J. Goodwin on Thursday and signed cornerback Deji Olatoye to the active roster.

Goodwin, who transitioned from wide receiver to cornerback with Atlanta, played in 14 games with one start for the Falcons last season. He played in 12 games for the Falcons this year. Olatoye was released by Atlanta in mid-September and was subsequently signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The cornerback played in three games for the Bucs before being waived by the team on Tuesday. Olatoye played in five games last season for the Falcons, recording four tackles (three solo) with three passes defended.
