Falcons sign Shockley and release Clark

Shockley, 6-0, 218 pounds, is a Falcons 2006 NFL Draft selection. In 2006 and '08 he served as the team's third quarterback and in 2007 was placed on injured reserve after suffering a knee injury in training camp. A native of College Park, Georgia, Shockley attended the University of Georgia and completed 153 of 277 passes for 2,311 yards and 21 touchdowns as a senior.

Clark was signed by the Falcons to the practice squad on September 22, 2009. He spent the majority of the 2008 season on the New York Giants practice squad before being elevated to the 53-man roster in late November.
