Falcons Sign Four Draft Picks

The Atlanta Falcons today announced that they have signed defensive end Malliciah Goodman, defensive end Stansly Maponga, safety Kemal Ishmael, and safety Zeke Motta. The terms of the deals were not disclosed.

Goodman, 6-4, 276 pounds, was selected by the Falcons as the first of two fourth round draft picks (127th overall) in the 2013 NFL Draft. He started 28 of 54 career games at Clemson, including each of his final 27 appearances, recording 127 tackles (70 solo) with 23 tackles for loss, 12 sacks, three passes defensed and one fumble recovery.

Maponga, 6-2, 265 pounds, was selected by the Falcons in the fifth round (153rd overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft. He started 34 of 36 career games at TCU, recording 113 total tackles (63 solo) with 23 tackles for loss, 15.5 sacks, eight forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, and four passes defensed.

Ishmael, 6-0, 206 pounds, was selected by the Falcons as the first of two seventh round draft picks (243rd overall) in the 2013 NFL Draft. He collared 368 total tackles (213 solo) with 9.5 tackles for loss, six interceptions, six forced fumbles, six fumble recoveries, and one sack in 53 career games at Central Florida.

Motta, 6-2, 215 pounds was selected by the Falcons as the second of two seventh round draft picks (244th overall) in the 2013 NFL Draft. He started 29 of 51 career games at Notre Dame posting 179 tackles (94 solo) with four tackles for loss, two interceptions, two fumble recoveries, one forced fumble, and one half sack.
