FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. – The Falcons signed cornerback Leon McFadden on Monday and waived running back Terrence Magee. McFadden was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft.

The former San Diego State standout has since spent time on a number of different rosters, including the Jets, 49ers, Cardinals, Giants and most recently the Cowboys.  McFadden was on the Cowboys' practice squad. The Falcons were thin at cornerback on Sunday against the Vikings, with Desmond Trufant (concussion) and Brian Poole (back) dealing with injuries. Although Falcons coach Dan Quinn announced Monday that Trufant has been cleared to return to practice, this move gives them more depth at this position. Blidi Wreh-Wilson filled in for Trufant against the Vikings.
